1. Seller
Maintenant is published by kOlapsis SAS, a French société par actions simplifiée with a share capital of 1 000 €, registered office in 33100 Bordeaux, France. Contact: hello@kolapsis.com. Full details are in the legal notice.
2. Scope
These terms apply to every purchase of a Maintenant Personal or Pro license key on maintenant.dev. You accept them on the payment page before paying. The version that applies to your order is the one in force on the day you pay.
The Community edition is free software under the Apache License 2.0. It is not sold and these terms do not apply to it.
3. What you buy
You buy a license key. Maintenant is self-hosted: you install and run it on your own machines, and your monitoring data never leaves them. The key unlocks the features of the edition you bought in the same binary. Using those features is governed by the Maintenant Commercial Source License.
- Personal is a one-time purchase for one person, on infrastructure they own or run for themselves, freelancers included. The license never expires on the versions it covers. It includes one year of updates. After that, each extra year of updates costs 59 € incl. VAT and is optional: every version released during a paid year stays licensed for life.
- Pro is a subscription, billed monthly or yearly. It adds the right to monitor infrastructure that belongs to someone else (clients, employer, team) and email support.

4. Prices
Prices are in euros. Personal is 149 € incl. VAT. Pro is 29 € excl. VAT per month or 290 € excl. VAT per year, and the VAT rate of your country is added at payment. A price change never affects an order already paid or the current period of a subscription. For a subscription, it is announced by email at least one month before the renewal it applies to.
5. Order and payment
You choose an edition on the checkout page and pay on a page hosted by Stripe. Stripe accepts cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and, depending on your country, other methods. kOlapsis never sees your card details. The contract is formed when the payment, or the start of a Pro trial, is confirmed. Stripe sends the receipt and the invoice by email.
6. Delivery and activation
The license key is sent to the email address you gave, within minutes of the confirmation. You activate it by setting MAINTENANT_LICENSE_KEY and restarting the container. If the key has not arrived within 24 hours, write to hello@kolapsis.com.
7. Pro trial
A Pro subscription starts with a free 14-day trial. A payment method is collected at the start. The first payment is taken at the end of the trial unless you cancel before. You cancel from your account page.
8. Right of withdrawal and refunds
You have 14 days from the day you buy to withdraw from the contract, without giving a reason. This right is required by law for consumers in the European Union. kOlapsis grants it to every buyer, professionals included.
- Personal: write to hello@kolapsis.com within 14 days of the purchase. You can use the model form below, but a plain email is enough. You are refunded in full, with the payment method you used, within 14 days of your request. The license key is revoked.
- Pro: the 14 days are the trial period. Cancel during the trial and nothing is ever charged. Once the trial is over, the withdrawal period has ended too, and the subscription can be cancelled for the end of the current period (section 9).
Using the software during the withdrawal period does not take the right away.

9. Subscription renewal and cancellation
A Pro subscription renews automatically at the end of each month or year. You can cancel at any time from your account page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid. Apart from the right of withdrawal, a period that has started is not refunded.
When a Pro subscription ends, nothing is deleted: the instance goes back to the limits of the Community edition and keeps its data.
10. License verification
Your instance checks the key against the license server of kOlapsis and keeps the signed answer on disk. If the server cannot be reached, the instance keeps its edition for 60 days, then falls back to the Community edition until it can reach the server again. The check sends the license key, never your monitoring data.
11. Support
Pro includes support by email at hello@kolapsis.com, with no guaranteed response time. Every edition can use the GitHub issues of the project.
12. Warranty and liability
Maintenant is read-only: it never starts, stops or changes a container. You remain responsible for your infrastructure and for backing up your data.
Consumers benefit from the legal guarantee of conformity for digital content provided for by the French Consumer Code. For professional buyers, the liability of kOlapsis is limited to the amounts paid for the license over the twelve months before the event that causes the damage, and excludes indirect damage such as loss of data, revenue or business.
13. Personal data
The data needed to sell and deliver the license (email address, payment and invoicing data) is processed as described in the privacy policy.
14. Applicable law and disputes
These terms are governed by French law. Write to hello@kolapsis.com first: most problems are settled by email.
If no amicable solution is found, the courts with jurisdiction under French law will hear the dispute. A consumer can always bring the case before the court of their own place of residence.
